Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee (Hebrew: Kinneret) is a compact region of towns and open country located around the picturesque Sea of Galilee (Hebrew: Yam Kinneret) in northern Israel. The region is, of course, best known for its Gospel assocations with the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. As such, it forms a natural target for pilgrimage amongst all varieties of Christians.
