Get in

La Jolla is located off the 5 freeway, north of San Diego and Mission Bay. There are two main ways to get there: Ardath Road (Highway 52) from I-5, or Pacific Coast Highway from Mission Bay. La Jolla Village Drive gets you to University Town Center mall, or UCSD.


Learn

  • University of California, San Diego [1] (State public university), ("UCSD") is located in northern La Jolla. Take a walk around the campus which has a number of famous artworks and architecture such as the Theodore Geisel (you may know him as Dr. Seuss!) Library.

See

  • Sea Lions at Children's Beach.

Do

  • Scripps Aquarium
  • Scuba Dive at La Jolla Cove. Kayaking the cove is also very popular.
  • Bare it all at Black's Beach.
  • Learn to hang glide at Torrey Pines Gliderport.

  • A number of high-end shops and art galleries are located along Prospect Place and Girard Streets in downtown La Jolla.
  • University Town Center mall.

Within walking distance there is a nice shopping center with several restaurants, a full service Sav-On Drug Store and a Whole Foods grocery store. Free high speed internet access.
