Lang Tengah (Malay: Lang Tengah) or Pulau Lang Tengah is an island in Terengganu in Malaysia, featuring sandy white beaches and clear blue waters with plenty of fish and coral. Lang Tengah - "the Eagle in the Middle" - gets its name from its location between the Perhentian Islands and Redang Island
Get inBoats are sent from the resorts to pick up tourists at the Merang jetty in Kuala Terengganu. Pickup is usually in the morning until noon. Get aroundLang Tengah has no roads; travel around the island is by boat, kayak or just by snorkeling. The waters surrounding the island are shallow. Large boats are not allowed to dock at the beaches. Tourists must transfer from larger ferries to smaller speedboats to reach the beach. SeeDoThere are many activities offered on Lang Tengah which include snorkeling and diving. The waters surrounding the island is abundant with coral and small fish. Care should be taken to not disturb the marine life as it is very fragile. Diving trips are organised by the various resorts; night diving is also available. Divers can rent scuba equipment from the resorts, which also refill tanks as part of the rental package. Snorkeling boat trips to Redang Marine Park (45 minutes away) are also offered.
