Jezreel Valley

The Jezreel Valley is in northern Israel. It is an extensive inland valley, largely rural, extending inland from the Carmel Range, west of Haifa, to the Beth Shean Valley region of the Jordan Valley.

Regions

The valley is devided into three regions: West, East and South, most of the difference is topographic.

Cities

  • Afula a medium sized town, not very interesting on itself, but it's the largest city in the valley and it's capital.
  • Migdal Ha Emeq a growing town near Meggido, in the west of the valley.
  • Jenin the northernmost city of the Palestinean Autonomy, situated in the south of the valley between the Menashe Highlands and Gilboa Ridge.

Other destinations

  • Quiriat Tiv'on
  • Nahalal

By Bus

There are busses form Haifa and Tel-Aviv to Afula and Migdal Ha Emeq, and some service in the area, but as it's rural the bus stops are few and far between, and so are the busses.

By car

The best option.

Stay safe

Hard to brign this issue up, but Jenin is part of the PA, so you'd probably need to consult them apter crossing the checkpoint into their area of control. As far as I know it's quite safe for anyone who can't be mistaken for an Israeli.
