Jalalabad

Jalalabad is a major city in Afghanistan, down the Kabul Gorge from Kabul, near the entrance to the Khyber Pass.

Get in

Jalalabad is on the major road that links Kabul to Pakistan. A lot of trucks use this route to supply Kabul with food and other produce. The road is being reconstructed from Kabul to Sorobi. From Sorobi to Jalalabad it is in good condition.

The government hotel 'Spingar' is on the eastern side of the city is basic. There are other guest houses which may be better.
